As we wrap up this half term, I wanted to take a moment to share all the amazing things your little ones have been up to in our Nursery class. Our focus has been on the exciting theme of the seaside It's been so much fun to see the children dive into learning about this fascinating topic. From the very start, the classroom was buzzing with curiosity as the children explored different seaside environments. We looked at the sandy beaches, the rocky shores, and even the deep oceans. The children loved learning about all the wonderful animals that call the seaside their home. They were especially fascinated by friendly crabs, colourful fish, and the graceful seagulls. Through stories, pictures, and little activities, they discovered so many new facts! Safety is super important, so we also talked about how to stay safe at the seaside. The children learned about wearing hats and sunscreen, staying close to an adult, and looking out for signs. Our phonics sessions were filled with enthusiasm and hard work. The children practiced their sounds and letters, and some even started blending them to read simple words. In maths, we had a fantastic time looking at time, capacity, shapes, and revisiting all the amazing concepts we've learned so far. As we prepare to say goodbye for the summer, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support and encouragement throughout this term. Wishing you and your families a fun-filled, sunny summer!
