Spring 2 – Shall we blast off in a rocket to space?

This half term, the young explorers of Bumblebee Class embarked on an exciting cosmic journey with our captivating topic, "Shall We Blast Off in a Rocket to Space?". The children delved into the wonders of space, learning about distant planets and magnificent spaceships. With wide-eyed curiosity, they discovered cheeky aliens who have a funny fascination with underpants!

Our little astronauts enjoyed reading a delightful book about a boy who dreamed of venturing into space. Inspired by his adventures, the children imagined what they would like to become when they grow up. Their dreams soared as high as the stars!

Throughout our space-themed days and celebrated World Book Days, our explorers' imaginations have expanded, and their enthusiasm has been truly out of this world. From crafting rockets to learning fun space facts, every activity has been an exciting step on their cosmic quest.

This week we started our space topic off by reading 'Whatever Next!' by Jill Murphy, we started Read, Write Inc. phonics with m and a, and had a fantastic workshop!
