Home/School Agreement

 At Beauclerc, we believe that good learning takes place in the context of a happy relationship between children, staff, home and school, together with a stimulating environment.

This home – school agreement sets out the responsibilities of school, parents and children and its success depends on all of us working together towards the aims.

The following were consulted in drawing up this document –

  • Parents (draft copy circulated for comments)
  • Governors (curriculum sub committee)

 

The Child

 I will aim to:

  • Come to school regularly and on time
  • Be helpful, friendly and polite
  • Walk inside the school
  • Do all my work as well as I can
  • Be a good listener
  • Keep to our agreed school and classroom rules

 

The Parents/Guardians

 I/We will aim to:

  • Make sure my child arrives at school on time at 8:55 a.m. and is not late by arriving after 9:10 registration.
  • Make sure my child attends regularly and provides an explanation if absent
  • Makes the school aware of any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s behaviour or work
  • Attend parents’ evenings and other curriculum information sessions to help with my child's progress
  • Support my child in home reading and other opportunities for home learning
  • Support the school’s polices and guidelines for the safe handover (code of Conduct), school packed lunch and behaviour

 

The School:

 We will aim to:

  • Work in partnership with parents to meet the school aims as set out in the school prospectus
  • Provide a safe, secure and happy environment
  • Provide a balanced curriculum and meet the individual needs of your child
  • Encourage your child to achieve his/her best at all times and help your child reach his/her full potential
  • Be open and welcoming at all times and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the life of the school
  • Arrange parents evenings and keep you informed about your child’s progress and provide an annual written report about your child
  • Keep you informed about general school activities through regular letters, newsletters etc...
  • Provide opportunities for home reading and home learning. 

 

Reminders

The school day

School starts at 8:55 a.m.

Children are considered late after 9:10 am

(12:30 for p.m. Nursery)

School finishes at 3:05 p.m.

(11:30 for a.m. Nursery)

 This partnership agreement will be reviewed every 3 years.
